Mini assembly meetings focusing on different areas of Colchester2020's work are held throughout the year for people interested in helping to achieve the Colchester2020 vision.

A full assembly which is open to all then takes place each March.

The March 2009 Annual Assembly meeting played an important part in the development of the revised Sustainable Community Strategy, with around 180 representatives from a range of businesses, organisations and the wider community attending the event at The Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The audience was divided into workshop sessions themed on the emerging priorities, and together they highlighted the issues they felt were important for Colchester2020 to take forward.

This, along with feedback from previous mini assemblies, has helped to shape Colchester2020’s current Sustainable Community Strategy.
