Working Together
Colchester2020 has a sub group called the Public Service Partnership (PSP), made up of representatives from major public sector bodies such as health, the Police, voluntary and community sector, the Learning and Skills Council, Essex County Council, Colchester Borough Homes and Colchester Borough Council.
The aim of the group is to make the best use of resources for local residents, identifying ways to provide more co-ordinated services to the community.
The PSP was established in 2006 to respond to, and meet, the objectives of the Local Area Agreement (LAA).
The LAA is a government initiative that was set up to make better use of public funds and those resources that can be shared between local services.
As a group, the PSP is responsible for identifying targets within the Essex LAA to focus on, and make a contribution to those that are relevant to Colchester.
The PSP agrees action plans for activity that will assist with the delivery of these targets. The group’s work is overseen and monitored by Colchester2020.
Greg Falvey, Colchester2020 Partner and Chief Executive of Colchester Borough Homes, chairs the PSP.
